From The Dunes shore line of northwest Indiana come the sounds of
southern gospel music. It's the ministry of The Rudds from Portage,
Indiana, the heart of the crossroads of America.
The Rudds have become one of the fastest rising groups on the national
scene. They have charted five radio singles in the top 80 charts of several
national gospel music magazines including the Singing News which is
the standard bearer of the industry.
The Rudds have been featured in major articles in the Singing News as
well as U.S. Gospel News.
In 2007 the Rudds were nominated as "Mixed Quartet of the year" and
Jim Rudd was nominated as "Favorite Bass singer of the Year" at the
Southern Gospel Fan Fair in Chattanooga, TN.
Naomi and daughter Amy were nominated as favorite alto and soprano
at the Eddie Awards in Pigeon Forge, TN., sponsored by the Eddie Crook
Co. of Nashville, TN. Jim Rudd was nominated as "Mr. Personality" and
Rodney Rudd as favorite lead singer in the same ceremony. The Rudds
song, "Celebration" was nominated as "Song Of The Year"
